Asilia
Deliverables: 12 x Destination cinematic VR experiences
Project Description: Asilia Africa has launched a series of virtual reality (VR) videos to bring a lifelike experience of southern Tanzania to both industry partners and tourists. The 360-degree VR videos showcase some of the experiences available in two of Tanzania’s largest, wildest but little-known safari areas, Ruaha National Park and Selous Game Reserve. They feature Asilia’s newest camps and the activities they offer, such as a boating safari from Roho ya Selous, or a walking safari from Jabali Ridge in Ruaha National Park. The videos offer a ‘try before you buy’ experience that is immersive and interactive, for first-time safari goers, or enhanced training on the properties and the parks where they are located for industry partners and agents. Seasoned travellers can enjoy the introductory experience of the properties and the wildlife experiences on offer. Steph Binns, Brand Manager of Asilia Africa, said: “Virtual reality is the closest thing to being physically at a destination or part of an experience. It is an engaging tool that allows our future guests to be transported to places they have never been before, or have only dreamed about visiting but were unsure what to expect.” The videos are available on Asilia’s YouTube and Facebook pages, as well as its website.
